Pecha Kucha Presentation

I’m going to base my Pecha Kucha presentation on graffiti and the most expensive pieces of graffiti art that have ever been sold to art galleries and art collectors, but sometimes some art pieces are sold underground for stupid prices and compare the prices of each different art piece to see the difference between each one.

As some people don’t always see famous graffiti artists work as the government or other people tag over the top of them or paint back over them and get rid of them within a couple of days.

The presentation will mostly be based on the artist Banksy as I love his work and would be very interested to find out how much some of his work has actually gone for. But I will try to incorporate some other street artists in there as well.

Research before Pecha Kucha Presentation

For this part of my contextual studies, I decided to do my Pecha Kucha presentation, on sports photography as that interests me a lot. Before I started to make the powerpoint I looked around for various sports photographers, until I found a few that there work interested me and I wanted to show there work and also talk about it.

I did a total of nine artists for the whole presentation as I wanted a lot to talk about and the differences in the photographs, because most of them are from different sports, so the different outcomes are very interesting as they have adapted and learnt what looks best depending on what sport they are taking photos of.

I am now going to move on to a different idea and then link it more towards my 2000 word essay and link it to graffiti and the most expensive pieces of graffiti that have been sold at auction and see how that worked out and how much money it actually has gone for on a legal market rather than an underground market and how much they have been sold to galleries for.
