Legend Film Review

The film is about the two Kray twins who were one of the most notorious gangsters in London in the 1960’s and the film is based upon their lives and how they ran London the way they did and the parts are played very well so it is very believable and it made the film very interesting, it wasn’t very thought-provoking but it made you realise how much power the Krays had during the 60’s and the climax took a while to be revealed but it was eventually even though it took a while and the setting was perfect for the story as it’s set in the 60’s in London so they recreated it very well.

The central goal of the film was to enlighten you on how powerful the Kray twins were and the film was also made to entertain and educate at the same time but it depicts the two twins very well throughout the film and it shows you how they scared people just by the sight of them that’s how powerful they were. The film made a very strong impression on me and it made me want to learn more about the two Kray twins and what they did and how they made their money and got all their power in the way they had it.

I really liked how the two twins were played even though they were played by the same actor (Tom Hardy) so he played both of the brother’s personalities very well as Reggie was the sane near normal brother and he also plays Ronnie the certified insane brother who is also a homosexual but he plays the part very well and he made them come to life and the personalities were made very complex even though they were also played as stereotypes, and there were certain archetypes that enhanced the film very well.

The director chose to depict there two lives very well and he portrayed them very well so he made it very interesting to watch and it made you want to know more about the two brothers and how vicious and how vindicative they could actually be as they used their power to their advantage in any way that they could and you can compare the film to others that the director has shot, and the story was very straightforward and there was certain tension during the film as the brothers were both very intimidating and there was a lot of conflict in the film as they ruled North London.

The music supported most of the scenes during the film very well as they made them very tense and it didn’t make any of the scenes distracting at all as the music works very well within every scene that they have used music in and all the music was queued in at the perfect time.

All the shots in the film were very unique as they used a lot of cloning tools to put the two twins in the film together at the same time as they were played by the same actor and it is not a very easy editing trick to do you have to get it perfect for it to look good without being able to see it and the lighting in every scene made most of them tense or captivating and the action throughout the film was shot very coherently with basically no editing misuse at all they were all very clean cut during every action scene and the camera movement made most of the scenes very captivating in certain ways and the framing in each scene worked very very well.

Every set felt lived in and made the story a lot more believable in every way because of the setting of every scene and the costumes were perfect in every part of the film as they showed the power and sophistication the brothers both had and the respect that they had and the money that they had as they were able to wear a different suit every day without a worry in the world and each environment was different but it made every scene captivating.

The special effects throughout the film were very well produced and you couldn’t see any editing errors and it was all very clean cut throughout the film and I cannot fault the editing at all and they integrated all the special effects very well within the story in every way because of how much was used and the unique effects were that they used a clone tool to get the twins in the same scene together every time.

The film flowed very well throughout every scene and the pace throughout the film made it flow perfectly and the film was very clearly organised in some scenes more than others and some scenes did drag the film down and I didn’t think certain scenes were necessary really but they made the film as they filled certain parts that needed to be filled.

The dialogue throughout the film was very good and in certain parts made the brothers sound very intimidating and the dialogue brought a lot of context to certain plots in the film and most of the conversations between certain people made the brothers look scary and intimidating and the dialogue perfectly matched the personality of the characters.

Pulp Fiction Film Review

The film is all about two hitmen who are hired to kill certain people but then the plot takes a turn for the worst as ‘Vincent Vega’ (John Travolta) meets ‘Mia Wallace’ (Uma Thurman), who then has an overdose so it makes things a lot worse for him and they both get into a lot of trouble so they go to Winston Wolf for help.

The central goal of the film is for the two characters John Travolta and Samuel L.Jackson to get their job done as hitmen and then more things turn out for the worst as the stakes get higher and the film made a very strong impression on me as it is one of my favourite films as well so the film made a very strong impression on me and there weren’t any controversial aspects in the film.

John Travolta then starts to see Uma Thurman as more than a person he’s been left to look after and he takes her out for a meal where she then finds the heroin but she has already taken so she then overdoses and things take a massive turn but the film is also playing two stories at once so sometimes its so confusing as you don’t know unless you watch it more than once.

The characters were portrayed very well and the dialogue throughout the film was spectacular and it has one of the best quotes ever in any film I have ever seen which is also a bible quote.

The storytelling was very complex but it made the film very enjoyable to watch and in my opinion, it is one of the best films ever made and there was a lot of tension and suspense in certain scenes and the director created a few different conflicts throughout the film and Quentin Tarantino also starred in the film and also directed it and he made tension between him and John Travolta and Samuel L.Jackson.

This scene imparticular, the music worked very well as they danced together but it also made the scene very tense as they dance very awkwardly together but it makes the film very easy to watch as you see them bonding together as more than friends.

Most of the shots in the film were very good and made the film easy to watch as there weren’t any special effects back then so they couldn’t really use many if they did have any to use but they portrayed most of the scenes very well and in a way you could use to make the scenes very believable and in a way that you feel their presence is very well needed in the scenes.

The flow of the film was very smooth and I think that the director found it a lot easier as there was quite a big cast in the film with actors such as John Travolta, Uma Thurman, Samuel L.Jackson and Bruce Willis and a few more so the film flowed very easily because they were able to work with the director and he was able to get the shots he wanted very easily as these actors would have co-operated very well with Quentin Tarantino.

The dialogue in some parts of the film made it very funny and very believable as to what was going on during the film and the scenes where there is just a random silence the director tried to fill that with something unintentionally with maybe a turn of the camera or a shot pan of the whole room etc.

BrotherHood Film Review

The film is the last part of a series of three films and they all follow this certain man’s life, where he gets involved with drug dealers and the police etc. The parts in the film are very believable and are played very well and it was a good film in my opinion and was very easy to watch. There are various parts of the film that are very thought-provoking and make you think what’s going to happen next, could it be good or bad, the setting was perfect for the type of film that it is and it is a very well produced film.

The central goal of the film was to entertain, as it’s a carry on from an earlier series where the other two films are about the same guy before he had grown up and they were called kidulthood and adulthood, where it’s based on the same guys life, but when he was younger and stupid and didn’t think before he did something and this film is about turning his life around until something happens to his family and they are threatened.

The strong impression that the film made on me was when a crime happens it’s normally the crime is committed by someone you wouldn’t think it would be by, but they always seem to blame the crime on a coloured person because they associate crime with them more so they are profiling against coloured people again and I believe that is unfair.

The characters in the film are portrayed very well and the acting throughout the film supported the characters very well and it made them feel very well played and made the film very believable and the main character sam’s personalities as he changes when something bad happens and he changes a lot during the film and this makes the film very enjoyable to watch as you expect suspense during the film and it makes you want to keep watching to see what happens next.

The director told the story very well and with this film it carries the story on very well from the last couple of films and it is portrayed very well and there is a lot of grit throughout the film and it made some scenes very tense because of the setting that some of the scenes are placed in makes it look very good and adds more to the scene every time.

The music worked very well in most of the scenes, as most of it is based in London, so he used a few well-known actors such as Stormzy who is one of the biggest British artists in the last couple of years. Noel Clarke also played the main character and also directed the film so he played it very well and he played a major part in the film as well as directing it.

There were a lot of different shots used throughout the film and it made some of the places feel lived in, in every way and there was a lot of different lighting shots which made most of the scenes very tense and believable and made you keep watching to see if someone was going to be attacked or not. The movement of the camera was very smooth throughout the films and the shots were very well thought about and shot in a certain way.

There wasn’t a lot of special effects if any used in the film and it made the film feel very real and made you want to keep watching as the scenes get tenser throughout the film and the suspense built up a lot throughout the film and it makes the film a lot deeper and you feel like you are in the character’s shoes and the music in most of the scenes works very well as some of the scenes are high-speed shots and chases.

The editing made the film very believable as the shots were very well edited because the editing was very clean and there was no judder in the editing and the shots were very well angled and it makes you want to learn how to edit properly and how filmmakers edit in certain ways.

The film flowed very well and the scenes were very well believed and the film did work very well with all the scenes and the lighting throughout the scenes made the scenes work spectacularly and it made you think what if I had that lifestyle even though it is highly illegal.

The dialogue throughout the film made the conversations very believable and sometimes made you feel quite scared about what was going to happen next and it made you want to keep watching with the tenseness that was added to some scenes and the words completely matched the tone of the film and brought a lot of personality to all of the characters and the dialogue flowed very well throughout the film.

Get Out Film Review

The main plot of the film, is about a young black male, meeting his girlfriend’s parents for the first time and the thing he doesn’t realise is that her parents are racist, so as the time passes that he is staying there, his stay becomes more and more treacherous as the week goes by and the parents also start to racially profile him as well as they are completely racist.

Yes the story was very believable as it shows how racist some white people are to people of a different race even though it was a fiction it still showed quite a lot of controversial factors throughout the film and what could have happened to a black male if they are being racially abused for the colour of their skin. The film was also very good and interesting and I really enjoyed it even though I don’t usually watch horror films I actually really enjoyed it.

The first scene is very thought-provoking and it sort of prepares you for the rest of the film straight away and it’s quite a hard scene to watch straight away even though it’s a horror and you expect it to be scary you don’t expect it to jump straight out at you in the first scene as the setting you wouldn’t think something like that would happen in the setting that the scene was in.

I think that the central goal of the film was to raise awareness about racism and socially abusing people for the way that they look, the colour of their skin, their religion etc. The film did make me think a lot as I don’t think that people should be treated differently in any other way just for the colour of their skin or their religion or sexual preference.

The characters were played very well and they were quite believable and their personalities were very well and the actors also made you feel like you were apart of the film as you watch it and it makes you feel the way he did during the film, as he showed a lot of emotion during the film and he made himself look scared and petrified and you can feel it.

I like how the director has taken a different direction as he is also an actor himself, he is normally a comedy actor so it’s quite interesting the fact that he has taken on a completely different role in this part of his direction and it made the story very believable and complex and quite easy to understand, and there was a lot of tension and suspense during the film but I believe that there should have been with it being a horror film. The director also created a very captivating conflict during the film as there was a lot of tension when he met the parents for the first time.

In some parts of the film, the music worked really well and made the scenes very tense, but in some parts, the music was slightly distracting and un-needed in some parts of the film and I believed that the music was put there just to fill in the spaces sometimes and that’s why I felt it was un-needed in some parts of the film because there were some empty parts with long-range shots they added music to keep the film flowing.

Some of the shots, in the film, made them very tense and quite uneasy as they were close-up shots that showed a lot and made them very tense as they focussed on the coloured characters in the scenes more than the white people as there is a lot of racial profiling during this film and there is a lot of darker shots and not a lot of lighter scenes and most of the shots did tell a story in a way as they made the scenes more interesting.

The sets definitely all felt lived in and they aligned perfectly with the era and the setting of the film and it takes a twist after he begins to get the therapy sessions with his girlfriends mum it takes a massive turn and he starts to feel threatened and that her family are very racist towards him and he doesn’t believe it is fair as he is being racially profiled for the colour of his skin.

There are a few special effects, during the film but not many I felt as if they wanted to use the characters more in a certain way as it makes the film more believable and a lot more tense as they use the characters more in a certain way to make a lot of the scenes a lot more tense and believable for the characters in their own opinion and in a certain way it makes you think more about what he is going through in his mind and makes you feel what he feels.

The mother of his girlfriend hypnotises him and makes him feel completely alone and they use a green screen special effect there which makes the scene a lot tenser and they use various amounts of close-up shots and long-range shots which make you think about what’s going to happen next and makes you want to keep watching as the film goes on and they also use a cloning tool to have the same person in the shot at the same time which makes for an interesting scene and it also makes it quite distressing to watch.

The editing throughout the film was very well made and it flowed very well and throughout the editing and with all the different shots they used it made the film very hard not to watch and it was a very well made and well-edited film and the shots are very hard to watch within certain scenes as some of the scenes are portrayed as very racist in a certain way and it’s quite surprising to see these films as a stereotype in a cerain way but films such as these are definitely making people more aware of certain aspects of everyday life and racial profiling in a certain way and i don’t believe that things like this should still be happening.

The conversations throughout the film were very believable and necessary to the film and the dialogue bring a lot of contexts to plot developments and the words did match the tone of the film and personality of the characters and it makes you want to keep watching them and see where the film is going to go from there after the conversation has finished as the plot could then take a completely different turn and maybe a turn for the worst.

Then as he takes a photo of a fellow black man within the household for a gathering as he is surprised to see another African American that acts differently as he doesn’t like the way that African Americans are treated where they are and the way that he feels and he scared a guy with the flash on his phone and the other man’s nose started to bleed and he ran towards him shouting ‘GET OUT’ in a warning sort of way and that he shouldn’t be there, so he debates on what to do for a while.

In conclusion, this film, in my opinion, does raise a lot of awareness towards black racial profiling and it makes the film very distressing to watch and the scenes are very hard to watch because it is very racist in some parts and makes it very hard to watch.
