Music videos similar to our coming back video

Some videos similar to the one that we filmed are videos that royal blood normally make as they are a two piece as well and they are also a rock band, so we wanted to re-create something like royal blood’s hook line & sinker, and there lights out video has a lot of visual effects around something simple like them just playing in the middle of all this happening.

There are also videos such as the white stripes, seven nation army, and even though it is full of visual effects the video looks incredible as they are only a two piece but its all done with lighting and visual effects which makes the video work so well and make it really effective.

Then another two-piece which makes a different style of music, Daft Punk, which I really enjoy their videos as they make it so different and it makes it unique as neither of them have ever shown their faces since the early 1990’s when their careers started, so every video is unique as they have a different outfit around there helmets for each video.

 

Final Draft of Coming Back Music Video

The final draft of the music video was probably my favourite because I changed the saturation and the brightness to make it black and white but also to make it stand out a lot, so it was basically just focused on the drummer and the guitarist/lead singer, so I thought that this made the video rather dramatic.

The different shots I got throughout the video, made the video really effective because of the type and speed of the song, it made it work really well which I was really happy with the way the whole thing turned out.

 

Coming Back 2nd draft

This second draft of the music video is all synced up together but there may be some slight issues here and there and it is also in colour but there are a few bits that I wanted to change in my final draft.

This one I decided to do in colour after it had all been synced together, just to see how it all looked but I then wanted to change it to black and white for my final draft.

1st draft of the music video – Coming Back

This is the first draft of our music video of Coming Back for a band called 10-59, there are only two of them in the band and this was just of some of the basic footage put together without syncing it all together, just to see how it would look.

It is also all in colour for this first draft as I just put clips together with no editing at all really.

 

Fatboy Slim – Weapon of choice music video review

The lighting throughout the video is high key and they use a mass amount of different camera angles throughout the video to keep it interesting, as the video is just Christopher Walken dancing around in a hotel for the video but that’s what this song makes you want to do, the imagery makes it fun and just makes you want to join him and dance as well. The characterization throughout the video is very simple as Christopher Walken isn’t young so it makes the video a lot more fun when you see a man of an older generation dancing like a young man.

The tone of the music video is to keep it fun and to make people want to listen to it repeatedly as it is a very fun song to listen to and the whole depiction is for the video to be humorous and funny and make you want to jump up and move to the rhythm.

The style of music was very arty and fun compared to the Bjork song and the contrast between the two videos is huge, and the lyrics throughout the song gives you options to think and it’s quite open to what you want to think about. The themes throughout the song are quite arty and also psychedelic and make you want to get up and dance. The imagery throughout the song you would just think of someone dancing stupidly somewhere as it works very well with the music.

The rhythm of the whole song just makes you feel good and makes you want to just get up and dance yourself and it makes you want to keep listening to the song over and over again and there is a lot of repetition throughout the song but I think its needed for this song as it keeps it fun and it’s very easy to listen to.

 

Bjork all is full of love song review

After watching the video we were told to just listen to the song and then see if our thoughts and opinions had changed at all after watching it. The style of music I thought was quite psychedelic but also a sort of love song, the lyrics throughout the song are giving advice/ guidance or direction to what people want love to be. The main theme throughout the video was about love and depiction of love.

The imagery throughout the music video was very strong as I thought it was a depiction of life and expectation to what people want in life and from life and the rhythm of the music was very psychedelic which makes you think without you even realising and there is a lot of repetition throughout the video, where one of the main lyrics was ‘all this thing of love’.

Bjork All is full of love video review

The Lighting throughout the video went from low key to high key lighting, the camera angles made the video very interesting as they used a lot of mid to low camera angles and the imagery throughout the whole thing made the person look very robotic. I believe that the depiction throughout the video depicted people as robots as its like we’re programmed to do the same thing every day, which makes the video quite in your face.

The video was quite psychedelic as well as there were two female robots making love in the video which could be quite a controversial subject, the tone of the video you could class it as quite dark and the camera angles also showed a story I believe and it slightly inticed you in the music video.
